FULL CHARGE BOOKKEEPER

Responsible for providing exceptional service in HyTech’s finance and accounting function including advice and administration of a variety of business areas. The position is in-person at HyTech’s corporate office but has access to remote work when appropriate.

KEY ROLES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

ROLE 1: Transactions

· Routine transaction posting with a high level of detail

· Maintain the accounting operations of subsidiary corporations

· Ensure that accounts payable are recorded in a timely manner

· Track and reconcile transactions between related companies

· Ensure transactional documents and support are maintained consistently

ROLE 2: Accounting Model

· Maintain the chart of accounts

· Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures

· Maintain an orderly electronic accounting filing system

· Assist in contract management and reconciliation

· Maintain divisional or class reporting models

· Adhere to a consistent bookkeeping and accounting system

· Attend weekly F&A meeting and contribute to agenda items and topics

ROLE 3: Compliance

· Prepare payroll and keep current on payroll legislation

· Assist with HR and payroll activities as needed

· Assist with GST preparation and filing

· Prepare year-end and interim documentation for review

· Monitor tax balances and strategies

ROLE 4: Financial Reporting and Analysis

· Reconcile all asset and liability accounts routinely

· Monitor ratio and metrics as established

· Prepare a variety of financial reports for review

· Assist in budget and forecast preparation

· Collaborate with external CFO and Accounting team on projects and initiatives

ROLE 5: Office Support

· Assist production functions with various administrative tasks and activities

· Collaborate with the entire team on projects, reporting and analysis

· Other tasks as required

Personality and qualifications required

· Attentive to details and reminders

· Proficient in use of technology for data analysis

· Comfortable with Quickbooks online and related apps

· Possess strong and professional communication skills

· Effective planning, organizing and priority management skills

· Experienced in maintaining a full set of accounts and related administrative activities

· Willing to do what it takes to get the job done

· Love to solve problems

· Proud of strong data and systems

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $50,000.00-$58,000.00 per year
