Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking farm shop assistant to join our agricultural team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for farming with a willingness to learn and contribute to various farm record keeping operations. Just 5 miles east of Coaldale is home to a progressive farm that has work for a driven, energetic, positive, self starter that can establish a work order and record keeping system to track invoices and apply them to the machines that are being worked on. These invoices then also need to be entered into a remote Accounts Receivable module that will be paid by the main office, at a second location. This role we require interfacing with shop mechanics, parts runners, the farm mangers and the accounts. This is a family owned and operated business with a passion for root crop production, packaging and marketing. We are results oriented and performance is rewarded!

Responsibilities

• Assist by supporting daily farm operations on recordkeeping and the accounting side of the business.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve farm goals efficiently.
• The accounts payable/shop record keeping tech is responsible for processing/coding vendor invoices for timely recording and payment. Perform accounting and clerical duties related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. This role also serves as an auditor, ensuring that invoices are accurate and that proper accounting procedures are followed to account for the payment of goods and services.

Skills

• Proficiency in operating basic accounting software.
• Proficiency in apps, and tech based record keeping.
• Basic mechanical knowledge of farm equipment to determine parts and repair invoices categories.
• Strong understanding of basic farming practices.
• Ability to perform basic math for measuring and calculating quantities related to farming tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
