Role Overview:
Transporting goods and equipment to job sites in around Alberta and BC in a safe and respectful manner. Currently we have seats available with our truck/pup configurations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow all company safety policies including Field Level Hazard Assessments
- Respectful operation of equipment and following all laws and regulations regarding equipment operation
- Perform pre and post trip inspections on trucks and trailers as per NSC Standard 13
- Electronically enter required repairs, as needed
- Perform daily hazard assessments or as job changes
- Perform basic maintenance (air pressures, engine oil levels, fuel, lights)
- Electronically completes paperwork including delivery of goods, hours, fuel usage and scope of job as per NSC Standard 9
- Maintain a clean truck inside and out
- Secure cargo as per NSC Standard 10
- Coordinate with trucking foreman for hours of work, location and equipment as needed
- Notify foreman of upcoming safety inspections, maintenance or repairs
Qualifications:
- Class 1 License with at least 3 years of similar hauling experience (aggregate, clay)
- Full capability to operate a 13/18 speed manual transmission
- Able to run straight truck and highway tractor
- Proactive approach to maintenance and safety
- Able to understand written and verbal instructions in English
- Able to operate electronic devices to enter required information
- Basic troubleshooting of equipment
- Supply and use of a cell phone
- Respectful, positive attitude
- Ability to stay out of town as needed
- Clean drivers abstract (must supply)
- Criminal Record Check (as required)

Ground Breakers Construction is a locally owned and family operated company, founded in 2006. We provide asphalt paving, underground construction, and earthworks to Southern Alberta and surrounding areas. We also offer retail sales of landscaping rock and other rock product.
