Full job description

This Machining & Edge Banding Operator role offers a condensed 4-day work week (Tuesday–Friday) consisting of 10-hour shifts. It requires a blend of technical woodworking knowledge and heavy machinery operation. Core Role Requirements

  • Expertise: Deep understanding of cabinet construction, wood species, and part identification.
  • Machinery: Proficiency in operating and maintaining CNC machines, edge banders, forklifts, and supporting pneumatic systems (compressors/vacuum pumps).
  • Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy, knowledge of machining programs, and understanding of tooling requirements.
  • Physicality: Ability to lift 75 lbs and a valid forklift ticket.

Key Responsibilities

  • Workflow: Daily work order reviews and material organization to ensure production targets are met.
  • Quality Control: Mandatory inspection of every job before it leaves the machining or edge banding stations.
  • Maintenance: Routine upkeep of all shop machinery and keeping the workspace organized and clean.
  • Safety: Strict adherence to company safety policies and a willingness to work overtime when requested.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
