Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Manager to oversee our restaurant’s operations and ensure exceptional service delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food industry, with a focus on customer service and team management. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing daily operations, supervising staff, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Duties
- Supervise front of house staff, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to company policies.
- Manage daily operations, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations of team members.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS system, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new staff members.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain effective communication between front and back of house operations.
- Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the dining area, adhering to health regulations.
Skills
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Proficient in food handling practices and knowledgeable about food safety regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming environment for guests.
- Experience with POS systems is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong supervisory experience with a focus on training and developing staff members.
- Familiarity with interviewing techniques and restaurant management principles is beneficial.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 44 per week
