Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Grader to join our construction and heavy equipment operation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating graders and other heavy machinery to ensure precise grading, paving, and site preparation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in construction equipment operation to contribute to large-scale projects while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.

Duties

  • Operate motor graders to level and prepare surfaces for paving, drainage, or other construction activities
  • Manage small base crew daily
  • Assist with excavation, loading, and hauling using loaders, backhoes, excavators, and bulldozers
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on heavy equipment such as graders and other machinery
  • Support paving operations by ensuring proper grading for asphalt or concrete surfaces
  • Collaborate with team members to execute site plans accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain safety protocols during all operations and ensure worksite cleanliness
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic repairs when necessary
  • Operate additional heavy equipment including dozers, horizontal drills, and commercial trucks as needed

Skills

  • Proven experience operating grader, loader, backhoe, excavator, dozer, and other heavy machinery
  • Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Ability to operate equipment with precision for grading and paving tasks
  • Knowledge of construction safety standards and best practices in heavy equipment operation
  • Experience in paving projects, ensuring smooth surface finishes
  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for transporting equipment or materials
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
